What's it Really Like at King Richard Court?

thursday.jpg

For some, moving to King Richard Court can seem to be quite a challenge.  It is common for one of life's many defining moments or turning points to have occurred. For instance, it may be the death of a life partner or perhaps a physical fall or maybe the realisation that the house is too big or the garden too much or simply the recognition that life has become somewhat limited, and you may be feeling isolated and left behind.

The hit Richard Osman's book 'The Thursday Murder Club' (now a successful film), perhaps goes a little overboard with portraying the excitement of living in a retirement housing scheme.

Nevertheless, for lots of people,  moving to King Richard Court has given them an unexpected boost or uplift at this stage of their life. This is no accident. A well-established approachable team of staff are available to welcome and reassure new residents of how it all works. Regular on-site events bring enjoyment and fun to many.  Residents can be as social or as private as they wish.

Indeed, one of the usual responses that is heard around King Richard Court is 'I wish I'd made the move sooner'.
