Care Quality Commission (CQC)

K R Court Ltd was obliged to register with the CQC in 2006 in order for staff to carry on providing the level of service and support that it traditionally had always provided.

Registration was as a Domiciliary Care Service, as Owners had their own apartments, rather than as a care home.

The service provided by K R Court Ltd was always small. During the various lockdowns following the covid outbreak, the few ‘service users’ dwindled to none, as individuals moved out to be with relatives etc.

The service did not pick up after the lockdowns were ended. CQC then approached K R Court Ltd informing us that the wished to de-registered the service since there were no clients.

On receiving any requests for ‘care’, King Richard Court staff now signpost these enquires to outside care agencies.
